Make a difference, join a committee. The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce depends on dedicated volunteers to help make decisions, support the local business community, and coordinate events. A Chamber committee is your chance to get involved, meet other business leaders, and help shape the decisions that affect the businesses and community of Brownsville. Membership Services Division
Join the Bienvenidos Committee in conducting groundbreaking, ribbon cutting [Ribbon Cutting & Groundbreaking Ceremonies] and other ceremonies in support of Chamber membership. This committee functions as a proactive goodwill extension of the Chamber. By being part of this committee you will also be able to participate in planning the annual Diamond Ball, a fundraising event to offset costs of plaques, ribbons and other chamber activities.

Small Business Development Committee
The Small Business Development Committee promotes and assists small businesses through proactive innovative programs, education, networking and other resources available to facilitate growth.
International Trade & Logistics Committee
Represent the international commerce and trade needs of chamber members and the Brownsville community by joining the International Trade & Logistics Committee. One of the objectives of this committee is to formulate and recommend programs to enhance flow of commerce and security at international ports of entry. By being part of this group you will also aid in promoting Brownsville and Matamoros as an international business community, and encourage international commerce trade.
Governmental Affairs Division
Governmental Advocacy Committee
The Governmental Advocacy Committee promotes awareness and takes action on governmental issues of importance to chamber members at local, state, and federal levels. Its objective is also to increase member involvement around critical issues related to voting, legislation and business advocacy.
Community Development Division
Brownsville Crime Stoppers Board
Assist law enforcement agencies in the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of persons suspected of having committed a criminal act. This committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 AM. The objective of this group is to provide an anonymous reward program that involves the citizens, the media, and local area law enforcement in an effective crime control program.
